Update from Administrator – August 28, 2020
August 28, 2020
As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.
As you know more than anyone, it’s been a difficult few months as our center has battled with COVID-19. While the number of individuals stricken with the virus has decreased dramatically, we know that it is possible we will be dealing with another surge of positive cases in our community.
This week we did have one positive case of COVID-19. The individual was a visiting corporate staff member who did not visit our resident floor. We have now converted to a weekly test schedule. This will continue until we have two weeks without any positive results.
Our entire team has been at work planning for this possibility, and we’d like your input as we continue to refine our strategy to keep all of our residents and staff safe. To that end, we have developed this brief survey that we are asking family members and residents to complete. It will only take you a few minutes and will help us learn what your priorities and main concerns may be.
Please click on this link to take a brief survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZXF356S which will remain open until August 31.
Your participation is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration and stay safe.
Thank you and please stay safe and healthy!
Other updates from our recreation team include:
- Each nursing unit has tablets assigned for resident use such as virtual visits, games, etc.
- We are also continuing to scheduling resident outdoor social distancing activities programs.
- We have fresh airtime where residents can get some much-needed sunshine while supervised to ensure social distancing.
- Weather permitting we are continuing to do out door family visits scheduled ahead of time through the recreational department.
Thank you,
Deborah Joseph
