Update from Administrator – November 24, 2021
Dear Family Members and Guardians,
I want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
At Tremont we have been placed on an admissions freeze related to our recent DPH survey. This means we may not admit any new Residents but existing Residents who may be out at the hospital may return to the facility. We were cited under tag F880 for not contact tracing an employee who had tested positive outside the facility to identify who the employee had close contact within the previous 3 days, ensuring all staff wore the appropriate PPE related to the COVID 19 guidelines and performing hand hygiene in and out of every room. On one occasion a nurse did not immediately disinfect a blood pressure cuff. We were also cited under tag F886 as the facility also failed to test all staff members during the initial “outbreak”. No Residents or staff tested positive other than the one staff member that tested positive outside of the facility. I want to assure everyone that we will continue to keep the health and safety of our Resident’s and staff our primary goal. We are working diligently to educate staff to the current COVID 19 guidelines and update everyone as they change. I will update you weekly on our progress. I anticipate the freeze will continue for about 2 weeks as we provide the necessary education to all staff. I want to ensure you this in no way affects visitation of your loved one in any way. Please feel free to contact the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services if you have any questions at 508-295-1040. If you prefer using email, you can send us your questions to: Info@TremontRehab.com. Our team will work hard to ensure a quick response. Thank you for all your support that you have been giving us during these difficult times.
Please continue to reach out if you have any further questions.
Thank you again for your understanding.
Respectfully,
Scott Nickerson
Administrator
