Update from Administrator – November 29, 2021

Dear Families,

Dear Family Members and Guardians,

At Tremont we have 3 Residents positive for COVID-19 in the facility and one at the hospital, no staff members have tested positive to date. We will be testing staff members and residents per DPH guidelines in the next 48 hours.  All indoor visits have been suspended for the next 14 days. Communal dining as well as group activities have also been placed on hold. Zoom visits will continue and are available for residents to communicate with friends and family members. Zoom visits can be scheduled with our recreational department.

We will continue this until we have 7 days with no positive cases. We will send updates after our results come in. Please contact the Administrator or Director of Nursing Services if you have any questions at 508-295-1040.  If you prefer using email, you can send us your questions to: Info@TremontRehab.com.  Our team will work hard to ensure a quick response. Thank you for all your support that you have been giving us during these difficult times.

As you know by now, our staff and residents have completed two COVID-19 vaccination clinics, we have also had one booster clinic.

Remember we always offer visitations using our technology (iPads, tablets, calls, etc.) and when we can, window visits and outside visits.

Thank you and please stay safe and healthy!

Please continue to reach out if you have any further questions.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Respectfully,
Scott Nickerson
Administrator

I am updating the letter I just sent out regarding visitation, under the new guidelines which I have attached, visitation is allowed following the guidance outlined below.

Indoor Visitation During Outbreak Investigation:

While it is safer for visitors not to enter the facility during an outbreak investigation, visitors must still be allowed in the facility. Visitors should be made aware of the potential risk of visiting when there have been cases in the last 14 days in the facility and adhere to the core principles of infection prevention. If residents or their representative would like to have a visit during an outbreak investigation, they should wear face coverings or masks during visits, regardless of vaccination status, and visits should ideally occur in the resident’s room.

Designated Indoor Visitation Space:

In addition to the conditions described above, the long-term care facility must:

  • Identify a designated space for visitation that is as close to the entrance as possible where visits can be socially distanced from other residents and minimize visitor impact in the facility.
  • Ensure that ventilation systems operate properly, have been serviced in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and increase circulation of outdoor air as much as possible.

Resident Room Visitation Space:

In addition to the conditions described above, the long-term care facility should allow:

  • Residents who are fully vaccinated to visit with loved ones who are fully vaccinated in their rooms, if they reside in a private room or if their roommate is also fully vaccinated and not immune compromised.
  • Residents who are fully vaccinated may visit with loved ones who are fully vaccinated without maintaining social distancing.

Thank you,
